They did not choose the name: it was shouted at them from the square at their first performance, at the previous year's fiestas, and they took it whole. Five women, none of them over twenty, playing on the offbeat with a borrowed brass section. Eleven photographs remain of their time in the contest, and no recording. It is on record that they reached the second round.
